Center of Excellence: Continuous education by top international coaches, weekly literature review, character building & unique training quality. All teams will compete regionally and if qualified nationally (see below), and for the experienced teams, we will have options for international competition (optional and invite only).
The Story: Forge National Academy path - purpose is to develop top level players & train to play with joy. Players & teams develop & go on to compete very strongly at national futsal competition, including best team in the nation several times. Toward the end of the path, players grow great skills to become top soccer players and pursue college play & beyond. Graduates include top NCAA DI players as well as many other colleges and academies.
Different: Yes education, work ethic, top character, top development, minimal travel tournament, no shiny objects.
Who: Players ages 11-19, ready to train a) one of the best evidence-based Futsal programs in the nation b) positive & competitive environment c) pursue the best of the best d) respect the process of work, education & grit.
Teams: All players have to go through a full (no cost) tryout process. Players selected for the Forge National Academy - Futsal (winter), will participate in an evidence-based training environment and national competition (tournament format). Team development will be under the direct involvement of the program technical director and under the supervision of several international coaches. Please see about us for more.
Season: Includes a 7 months season, starting with a 6 weeks (flexible) fall pre season (Sep-Oct), and a 12 weeks regular winter season (Nov, Dec, Jan), continuing with extended winter season (Apr-May). During the season, the teams will play league in winter 1 and/or winter 2, Midwest Futsal Clubs Championships x 3, and a regional tournament. Program also includes goalkeeper training, other friendlies, TeamSnap, sport psychology, personal & team growth, video analysis and more. All is included in the program fees (with the exception of uniform & travel that are not included). A 5 week summer session is only required for teams that qualify for national competition and optional only for all other teams. Financial Aid is available for players who receive free or reduced lunch through their school district.
We Are a Club Neutral Program: No conflict with club soccer, we provide top developmental opportunities, you continue with your soccer club.
